Amidst the affluent suburbs of the Fox Valley, we have 56,000 people living below the federal poverty level.  Many of them live in subsidized or low-income private housing communities, with multiple families living under one roof.  There are many players unable to pay our club fees- even though EPIC Hoopz charges some of the lowest fees in the area. Moreover, many of our players come from broken homes and are considered “at risk” youth.  Often the players lack positive support and motivation from home. As an organization, we feel that we can bring much more to the community. By creating EPIC, it is our hope that we will begin to show the youth in the Fox Valley area that they are capable of attending college and being successful.
